Email Marketing Strategist

Responsibilities

Responsible for execution of email campaigns following guidelines and templates provided for a roster of agency clients
Utilize the Blueshift visual editor to streamline processes and deliver in line with the creative turnaround times
Review metrics on a consistent basis (monthly at minimum) and identify quick wins for performance enhancements - Matchbacks, CTOR, Bounce Rate, etc
Assist with the strategic plan and vision as it relates to email products as a whole and client by client basis. Present findings to management
Identify & establish KPIs, segmentation strategies, and a testing plan for optimization
Help ideate new email campaigns and strategies to help grow the email marketing channel. Examples include liquid expressions, dynamic emails, journeyed emails, etc
Responsible for understanding the scope of all email projects/products
Well-versed in our ESP platforms (Blueshift & SiteImpact) its capabilities, requirements, limitations, and data structures
Versed in email design principles and best practices (including responsive design), A/B testing - including a focus on accessibility, cross-device behavior, and troubleshooting compatibility issues. Working with ESP support as needed
Collaborate successfully with creative designers, copywriters, and data analysts
Understand all Stream email products and their audiences
Ensure all emails are delivered on time and within client expectations
Take constructive feedback in proofing and apply changes to emails as needed
List strategy/segmentation, reactivation tactics, how to leverage data from all sources for each client to make sure they complete the buying journey with a transaction
Work with email team and other departments (data, creative team, client services) to clarify requests, troubleshoot, and keep projects moving forward through the appropriate channels
Submit email campaigns for OEM pre-approval as directed & archive appropriately. Work to be as optimized as possible learning the OEM guidelines to decrease chances of denial and increase speed to market
Ensure Workfront is always up-to-date with project statues and comment when needed to communicate any potential risks to a deployment date
Use WF reporting to ensure all emails hit deployment monthly
Stay up to date with evolving email trends, platform capabilities, and privacy/CANSPAM regulations
Troubleshoot roadblocks effectively and be solutions-oriented
Track hours accurately and in adherence to Stream policy & planned hours

Required

Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Graphic Design, Web Design, Email Marketing, or related field
2+ years of related work experience
Must be proficient with Blueshift & Microsoft Products
Understanding of basic coding languages (HTML, CSS)
Knowledge of automation/email platforms: SendGrid, Blueshift, Site Impact, Salesforce
Ability to work with data in excel format
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills, able to work well under deadlines, and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently for the team and his or herself
Strong communication skills with clients, vendors, and internal staff
Highly proficient in communication skills
Thrive in a deadline-driven, high volume work environment
Consistently striving for operational excellence and being as efficient as possible
Proactively brainstorming ideas of how to advance our email product offerings or optimize our workflow

Preferred

Experience in the automotive industry a plus
Blueshift Certification (can obtain during Stream onboarding)
