Responsibilities
Manage general accounting activities, financial reporting, banking, and month-end close
Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations and timely filing of returns
Perform day-to-day budgeting, forecasting, and income statement analysis
Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for assigned functional areas
Analyze and report on monthly variances to budget and prior year
Prepare sales and use tax returns accurately and timely
Establish and maintain financial controls
Assist with the annual financial and tax audit process
Manage special projects as necessary
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting
Experience with income statements and banking
High proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Strong understanding of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls
Effective communication skills with all levels of management
College degree with emphasis in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of relevant experience
Preferred
CPA or similar professional achievement preferred
Background in distribution is preferred but not required
