Participate In Functional And Technical Discussions With Clients And Team Members, Utilizing Knowledge Of Functional Testing To Understand Specifications And Highlight Performance Concerns While Preparing Automated Test Scripts And Maintaining The Test Case Suite
Develop And Continuously Enhance Automated Tests In Line With New System Features And Improvements, Creating Effective Work Plans And Monitoring Schedules To Ensure Timely Delivery In Accordance With Defined Quality Standards
Design And Implement Scalable Test Automation Frameworks, Develop Comprehensive Test Strategies And Plans, Manage Test Data, And Prepare Status Reports To Mitigate Risks And Address Project Escalations Proactively
Mentor And Guide Qa Engineers In Leveraging The Testing Framework, Enhancing Their Technical Skills To Boost Productivity And Foster A Collaborative Working Environment
Provide end-to-end testing support for backend systems, ensuring smooth integration and functionality across environments
Monitor and support file transmissions , including performing replay and retransmission of files as needed to maintain data integrity
Ensure all client service level agreements (SLAs) are met consistently during testing and support operations
Work closely with QA, development, and infrastructure teams to maintain stable and reliable test environments
Role requires mainframe platform batch and CICS with DB2 processing and front-end support engaging with development to resolve E2E environment related issues impacting client testing cycles
Monitor E2E batch flow to ensure batch streams are processing on time, identify issues that require corrective action and follow up for resolution
Serve as an escalation point for client issues related to the E2E environment
Analyze documentation supporting changes in a complex E2E environment
Responsible for performing root cause analysis, first level investigation, escalation and resolution of batch job failures in a timely manner
Ensure E2E client service level agreements are attained
Troubleshoot and restore service to batch processing on mainframe using industry accepted techniques and procedures
Implement appropriate corrective actions to eliminate recurring batch job failures, coordinating, monitoring, approving change related activities, performing training and coaching for less experienced team members, update procedures as changes occur and deficiencies are identified
Able to initiate bridge calls when multiple application and support teams require direct communication between each other to resolve problems
Capable of promoting Incidents to Incident Management for a severe issue where production is impacted
Ability to page out Application Teams for batch issues/abends and page additional Application Teams/additional resources when needed

Required
Strong Understanding Of Functional Testing Concepts And Methodologies
Proficiency In Test Automation Tools And Scripting (E.G., Selenium, Testng)
Solid Experience In Developing Test Plans, Strategies, And Frameworks
Familiarity With Performance Testing Tools And Techniques
Good Knowledge Of Database Testing And Data Validation Practices
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills
Technical Skills (ERS)-Other Technical Skills-Functional Testing
Mainframe Technologies: COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM
Operating Systems: LINUX/AIX
Job Scheduling Tools: CA-7
Testing & Support: End-to-End Testing, Environment Management, File Transmission Monitoring
Preferred
Strong hands-on experience in mainframe batch and online systems
Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot test environments and file transmission workflows
Familiarity with CA-7 job scheduling, JCL debugging, and CICS transaction monitoring
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work across cross-functional teams
Experience in client-facing roles or production support is a plus
Istqb Certified Tester (Foundation Level) Is Optional But Valuable
Certification In Test Automation (E.G., Certified Selenium Tester) Is Optional But Valuable
