Electrical Controls Engineer
GPAC is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States. They are seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to support automation, controls design, and equipment performance in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities
Design, document, and maintain electrical control systems for industrial equipment, including low-voltage and 3-phase power
Develop, modify, and support PLC and HMI applications used in machine control
Troubleshoot electrical and control issues on the production floor and during equipment testing
Partner with mechanical, production, and project teams to support new builds and design improvements
Create and update electrical drawings, technical documentation, and operator materials
Support multiple controls projects simultaneously while managing priorities and timelines
Serve as a technical resource for internal teams and limited external support
Qualification
Required
Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience
Hands-on experience with industrial automation and control systems
Proficiency using AutoCAD for electrical schematics and layouts
Working knowledge of industrial networks such as Ethernet/IP or CAN-based systems
Ability to work independently and drive projects from design through implementation
Strong communication and organizational skills with a practical, problem-solving mindset
Reliable attendance with the ability to meet a standard full-time schedule
Minimal travel, approximately 5%
