Metrology Engineer II

Responsibilities
Coordinate and collaborate with Raytheon associates to perform calibrations that certify measurement and test equipment meets required contractual and government standards
Analyze measured data to determine conformance to specifications, draft calibration reports and present results in the appropriate manner to meet customer needs
Develop and document calibration procedure
Perform uncertainty analyses to confirm the adequacy of the measurement process
Qualification
Required
Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Minimum one years' experience in a field dealing with electrical or mechanical engineering or applied physics
Minimum of one years knowledge of ANSI/NCSL Z540 and ISO 17025 standards
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred
Knowledge of programming using Visual Basic, MATLAB, LabVIEW and etc
Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Previous calibration and troubleshooting experience with various types of equipment
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
Strong verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data/findings and writing calibration procedures
Able to solve technical problems, meet deadlines, and can multitask
