Responsibilities
Schedule and coordinate outpatient surgical procedures for approximately 20 surgeons across multiple specialties
Serve as a liaison between surgeons’ offices, patients, anesthesia providers, and ASC clinical staff
Ensure all cases are scheduled in accordance with ASC policies, surgeon block utilization, and provider availability
Manage schedule adjustments, cancellations, and same-day add-on cases while maintaining optimal patient flow
Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing leadership to maximize daily case volume and operating room utilization
Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling data within the ASC scheduling system
Verify case details including procedure type, surgeon, estimated case length, equipment needs, and special requirements
Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and confidentiality standards, including HIPAA, CMS, and AAAHC/Joint Commission requirements, as applicable
Demonstrate flexibility, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills in a high-volume outpatient surgical setting
Provide excellent customer service as a front-facing representative of the ASC to patients, families, and physician offices
Communicate schedule changes promptly and clearly to all stakeholders
Perform additional administrative and scheduling-related duties as assigned by the Business Office Manager and/or Administrator

Required
