Development Engineer – Centrifugal Compressor Aerodynamics
Siemens Energy is an energy technology company focused on decarbonizing the industrial sector. They are seeking an Aerodynamics Engineer to design and develop new aerodynamic components, support compressor testing, and conduct root cause failure investigations at their Houston location.

Responsibilities
By applying your expert skills in Research & Development projects to enhance our portfolio and/or improve available products
By supporting the Bid Management organization on compressor quotations
By supporting Engineering in any aerodynamic aspects during order execution
By supporting root cause analyses of compressor performance issues
By being the Aerodynamic go-to person at the Houston site!
Qualification
Required
Must have a Master's degree or a Ph.D. degree in Aerodynamics, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field required
Familiarity and a strong interest in aerodynamics is required
Experience with centrifugal turbomachinery is a plus
Experience in using CFD software and techniques to simulate complex fluid flows, including grid generation, simulation, and post-processing
Knowledge of turbomachinery CFD software will be an advantage
Good communication and organizational skills, capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and the ability to function on individual and group projects
A positive attitude and a good work ethic
Preferred
Practical experience in programming / scripting using such languages as Fortran, C, MATLAB, and Python
