Lead Technical Designer
BrickRed Systems is a global leader in next-generation technology, consulting, and business process service companies. They are seeking a Lead Technical Designer to support high-priority projects within the Apparel Standards team, focusing on patternmaking and garment construction while collaborating with various teams to achieve product goals.

Responsibilities
Lead patternmaking, sample making, and fit execution for studio-supported apparel projects
Identify and resolve issues related to pattern, construction, and manufacturability
Interpret design intent and provide technical solutions and alternatives throughout product creation
Partner with Design, Product Management, PCC, Materials, and Manufacturing teams to deliver product goals
Track and facilitate project review meetings in collaboration with OSS leadership
Serve as project lead and liaison for studio-supported initiatives
Develop and lead studio trainings, workshops, and SOPs
Support Apparel Maker Space (Olive St Studio) operations, including inventory, assets, and equipment upkeep
Organize and schedule sewing and embroidery machine maintenance
Travel up to 10% as needed (domestic and international)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design, Textile Science, or related field
5–10 years of advanced patternmaking or technical design experience in the apparel industry
Hands-on expertise in patternmaking, sewing, embroidery, and garment construction
Strong knowledge of the end-to-end apparel development process (from concept to production)
Proficiency in Optitex, flat patterning, and Adobe Illustrator
Ability to physically work in a studio environment, creating patterns and samples
Experience writing product specifications and construction standards
Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency with MS Office tools
Preferred
Experience using 3D software such as CLO or Browzwear
Experience collaborating directly with factory vendors to improve manufacturability
Prior experience in standards, innovation, or studio-based technical design teams
Experience facilitating workshops and technical training sessions
Familiarity with fast-paced, high-visibility product creation environments
