Program Manager (RN), Cancer Destination Service Line (1 Year Fixed-Term/Benefited)
Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley is dedicated to innovation in healthcare, and they are seeking a Program Manager for their Cancer Destination Service Line. The RN Program Manager will support the Cancer DSL by planning, managing, and executing key initiatives and projects, while fostering collaboration across various departments to enhance cancer care services.

Responsibilities
Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support Cancer Network strategic business goals in collaboration with the cancer care service medical directors and various stakeholders
Manage program design and structure for department's key initiatives and projects within assigned leadership division, develop strategic input for the Director regarding business objectives of clients for both current and future projects
Functions in the role of clinical leader to promote, develop, and assist with fostering shared decision making, innovation and excellence in nursing practice throughout the organization
Guide programmatic development for large strategic and cross-functional improvement programs for Cancer Network and Cancer Destination Service Line with [priority placed on infusion services and support o EPIC Beacon
Manages, assesses, and documents project scope and program utilizing standard A3 template
Identify opportunities for process improvement and recognize and use synergies from other projects to design creative solutions for technological and non-technological problems as well as identify future projects. Utilizing Lean six sigma tools and other project management programs and methods
Manage program design and structure for Cancer Network’s key initiatives and projects within assigned leadership division, develop strategic input for the Director regarding business objectives of clients for both current and future projects
Foster collaboration and coordination between the school of medicine, Stanford Health Care, University Healthcare Alliance, and Valley Care cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams to drive key strategic initiatives forward
Partner with Operations Manager(s) to identify and develop the leadership needs and internal capacity of the department and facilitate strategic changes in project scope or assignment across the team
Design effective hand-offs and exemplary care coordination through information technology tools and process improvement
Coach and mentor staff through the change process and cycles of continuous improvement
Works with various departments and physician groups within the cancer network develops relationships with key stakeholders and understands their departmental workflows
Prepares and maintains accurate, coherent, timely and auditable project records and cost estimates, as applicable, within department guidelines
Creates software programs or dashboards to monitor operational and financial metrics for cancer care service programs, and cancer centers and clinics in the bay area
Provides leadership, coordination and support to all team members
Captures and performs analysis of actionable accurate performance data. Develops process to display and communicate results of programs throughout the system as appropriate
Independently uses and applies in-depth knowledge and experience in the area of nursing clinical affairs on projects that typically impact the Cancer DSL
Develops and oversees the implementation of new integrated clinical programs and processes for the Cancer Network and Services
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university
Five (5) years of progressively responsible and related work experience in nursing, performance improvement, program development, data analytics, healthcare financial analysis and management, project management
Ability to act as both a thought leader and operational expert around process and service transformation and integration
Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and in situations requiring instructing, persuading, negotiating, conflict resolution, consulting and advising, as well as flawless written and verbal communication
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with widely diverse groups and gain their cooperation
Ability to manage multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced environment and work effectively in a team or independent setting
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize to meet deadlines, balancing SHC strategic goals with department objectives and service standards
Ability to provide leadership, mentorship and influence others
Knowledge of Lean, JIT, Six Sigma and Flow Manufacturing techniques
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Project Outlook, and Research, Epic and Beacon platforms if appropriate for project work
