Attorney-Represented Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster - PST/MST (Remote) - National General

Responsibilities
Handles investigation regarding all aspects of bodily injury claims (coverage, damages, subrogation, litigation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority
Applies intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle
Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage
For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome
This job does not have supervisory duties
Qualification
Required
Experience in handling homeowner, commercial, or auto liability claims
Ability to work 8am--5pm Pacific time zone hours
Strong analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to effectively manage and negotiate claims
Ability to investigate and confirm the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents
Ability to determine coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjust and negotiate claims within limit of authority
Ability to handle investigation regarding all aspects of bodily injury claims (coverage, damages, subrogation, litigation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority
Intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
Ability to determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle
Ability to identify customer needs and work to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
Ability to recognize and identify body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage
Ability to partner with assigned reps from fraud or subrogation areas to achieve best outcome
Ability to obtain and maintain adjuster licenses as required
Customer service orientation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management skills from a global case management and pending perspective (vs. transactional)
Effective problem solving and analytical skills; ability to detect differences and issue recognition from multiple sources
Proficient in Word and Outlook
Preferred
2+ years of experience handling attorney-represented bodily injury claims
Experience managing nonstandard auto insurance claims
Familiarity with California-specific claims handling practices and regulations
