Responsibilities
Drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings
Drafting and arguing motions
Taking and defending depositions
Providing legal services in employment law matters
Managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Assuming a significant role in all aspects of labor and employment law
Interacting with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel
Qualification
Required
Admitted to practice in California
At least one (1) to fifteen (15) years of experience in employment law matters
Prior employment litigation experience (preferably on the management side)
Experience handling single plaintiff employment claims
Experience handling PAGA, Wage & Hour, and FEHA matters
Comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings
Drafting and arguing motions
Taking and defending depositions
Strong writing and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Employment counseling or in-house employment law experience
Some experience in employment law
Substantive litigation experience
Demonstrated interest in labor and employment law
