Silversand Services is a leading provider of landscape design and maintenance services. The Accounting Team Lead will supervise day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts.

Responsibilities

Review and prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles

Manage and maintain the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, collections activities, and bank reconciliations

Month-end and year end closing procedures

Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy

Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable local, state, and federal regulations

Communicate any potential issues or discrepancies discovered during financial review processes to relevant stakeholders

Manage fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules

Assist with third-party audits and tax returns

Assist with the year-end audit and preparation of necessary schedules and documentation

Complete annual 1099 reporting and ensure timely filing of all tax reports and business licenses, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and accurate submission forms

Report and file sales taxes

Maintain internal controls and documentation

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency

Liaise with department Management to improve financial procedures

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
