Temporary Communications Specialist

Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Communications and Director of Stewardship with day-to-day communications, including invitation design, presentations, speaker remarks, impact reports, and donor acknowledgment materials
Draft and edit speeches, presentations, PowerPoints, and marketing collateral that effectively tell the story of donor impact
Coordinate planning meetings and logistics for events and stewardship activities, including vendors, catering, registration, RSVP lists, and related details
Support administrative tasks such as reimbursements, basic data analysis, database management, and completion of required UCLC trainings
Qualification
Required
1–3 years of experience in communications and/or marketing
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a communications and marketing focus
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English
Preferred
Experience in event planning, stewardship, advancement, or advancement operations services
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Experience supporting events, donor communications, and presentation development
Basic design sensibility and comfort collaborating on marketing and visual materials
