Rehabilitation Services Technician

Indiana University Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Services Technician to perform designated routine patient care tasks under the supervision of clinicians. The role involves assisting with patient mobility, maintaining treatment areas, and participating in various operational aspects of the department.

Responsibilities

Performs designated routine patient care tasks under the direct supervision of the clinician(s)
Assists the clinician to provide safe mobility and positioning of the patient as needed
Maintains and cleans treatment areas and equipment
Participates in operational aspects of the department and maintains performance improvement activities as required
Participates in all infection control, department equipment training, regulatory compliance, organizational safety and fire safety programs
Orders, distributes and maintains designated and appropriate inventory of department related supplies
May perform scheduling, customer service and some clerical duties
Rehabilitation Technicians can transport medications to/from the patient treatment room for patient treatment

Basic Life SupportRehabilitation Technician TrainingPatient Lifting ProceduresHealthcare ExperienceClerical Duties

Required

High School Diploma/GED is required
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA within 6 months of hire
Requires successful completion of the rehabilitation technician training program within 3 months of hire
Requires familiarity with patient lifting and handling procedures

Preferred

1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Rehab experience preferred
