Responsibilities
Partner with the Innovation director to help drive athlete insights into new product and help create distinction in the marketplace
Be tightly aligned with Sports Marketing & wear testing on how we gather our elite athletes’ feedback and fuel that into our product process
Be the consumer expert and mine consumer insights to inform and validate product direction
Bring deep performance footwear expertise
Communicate with product team on future product direction, and collaborate with cross functional teams to bring new products to life
Partner with Merch Director to build apparel for Elite Athletes as well as creating new silhouettes for consumers
Help lead the collaboration projects in partnership with Brand and design. Identify new partners, partner with Brand to build the story and ensure the product executions are premium and Brand enhancing
Create the strategic plan for an emerging & complex business, inclusive of a multi-year roadmap that incorporates consumer/product and marketplace insights, innovation, business analysis
Create and deliver compelling and inspirational product presentations that drive the vision home
Work in conjunction with Global Product Director, Merch, Finance, and Operations to set and manage SKU productivity/margin goals
Qualification
Required
7+ years' experience in a product-related role
Strong understanding of performance footwear - construction, consumer needs, and product creation process
Excellent Team leader and clear communicator
Innovative in thought with proven ability to utilize vision to drive concepts to new space
Proven ability to capture consumer insights and translate into compelling product solutions
Strong business acumen with a proven record for achieving sustainable growth
Demonstrated line planning skills to meet financial and KPI goals
Positive self-starter who leans into ambiguity and creates clarity for those around them
Comfortable forging new paths within an emerging Brand
Ability to drive vision and strategy across functions while respecting the balance of competing interests
Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to motivate and mentor others
Strong understanding of the Footwear construction and story-telling process
Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills
Attention to detail and deadlines - Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including internationally
