Responsibilities
Supports month-end close process, including posting journal entries and preparing account reconciliations
Verifies and processes all invoices for payment, including obtaining approvals and coding to the appropriate cost center and general ledger account
Preparation and entry of expense report reimbursements
Performs and reviews periodic accounts and bank reconciliations
Research discrepancies and past-due amounts
Supports maintenance of fixed-asset systems
Assists with sales tax filings and reconciliations
Assists with business license and personal property tax filings
Reconciles inventory receipts to vendor invoices
Cross training as back-up in accounting department
Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records
Receptionist duties as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required

Excellent reliability and trustworthiness
Experience in accounts payable and account reconciliation
Microsoft Excel skills
QuickBooks Enterprise software package experience
Ability to learn new software packages
Must be able to learn accounting software systems
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
High school diploma or equivalent
At least two years of related work experience required
Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, account statements, tax documents, and inventory receipts
Ability to speak effectively to vendors and co-workers
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages
Ability to define problems and establish facts
Ability to interpret instructions in mathematical form
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel in addition to QuickBooks experience
