Program Assistant - Magnolia Gardens
Urban Resource Institute (URI) is the nation’s largest provider of domestic violence shelter services and a leader in supporting homeless families. The Program Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Program Director and shelter staff to ensure the effective operation of the facility.

Responsibilities
Responsible for administrative tasks including monitoring records for required documentation, collecting documents from clients and filing records accordingly
Greet clients and visitors and log them into the system. Direct clients and visitors to the appropriate party
Assist with clerical duties related to the program including payroll information, scheduling, and other reports as assigned
Understand and follow the agency and funding source guidelines and protocols including HIPAA and Confidentiality
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required
At least three (3) years' experience as an Administrative Assistant preferably working with abused families or women with special needs
Experience with data entry
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Organized and detailed
Ability to work independently, takes initiative, and works well as a team member
Demonstrated sensitivity and experience with and/or knowledge of homeless families including individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and/or HIV-affected, the elderly and individuals with substance abuse and/or mental health issues
Must be computer literate and must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Preferred
Bi-lingual, Mandarin or Spanish preferred
Familiarity with DHS regulations is a plus but not required
