Responsibilities

Complete the admission information into the Cerner Patient Accounting System
Maintain a high level of accuracy while pre-certifying appropriate hospital admissions
Verify eligibility for patients using various applicants made available from insurance carriers
Pre-admit all patients that are scheduled on the hospital scheduling system
Keeping recurring and offsite files current
Working discharge disposition reports
Helping with interviewing and training
Completing inpatient insurance authorization

Required

Previous Admitting/PBX experience
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate written and verbally

Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Word, Excel, MS Publisher (or Equivalent) and Power Point
Proven Integrity, Respect, and Initiative
