Responsibilities
Collaboratively oversees the design process, leads the project schedule and the team through documentation
Lead and learn from others at all levels of experience and within various roles
Leads team, consultant, and owner meetings
Plans project milestones and goals
Works closely with the Principal in Charge and the Project Architect to lead design direction and project management
Collaborates with project team to find best solutions
Seeks to achieve superior quality of project design and documentation
Can manage multiple projects and design teams simultaneously
Actively mentors junior staff
Qualification
Required
NAAB-accredited degree in Architecture
8-15 years of professional experience (licensed professionals preferred)
Independent & resourceful approach to providing direction and team leadership
Strong design and graphic skills
Deep experience in project planning, management, contracts, and invoicing
Sound working knowledge of building codes, zoning, and DRB materials
Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, Excel, Smartsheet or similar Project Management software
Preferred
Passion for sustainable design solutions (sustainable certification(s) and software knowledge preferred)
Hand-drawing and sketching skills preferred
