INCOME MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR II Training/Quality Assurance
Alamance County Government is seeking a motivated and compassionate Economic Services Supervisor to lead their team of program policy trainers and quality assurance staff. In this role, you will guide training standards and quality improvement, ensuring benefits workers deliver services accurately and empathetically to the community's vulnerable residents.

Responsibilities
Planning, organizing, and directing daily operations of the unit to support high-quality service
Developing training plans for new and veteran staff; reviewing training materials; coordinating schedules for policy, mentoring, refresher, and onboarding training for all Economic Services staff; assigning daily case reviews and OSS tickets; managing coaching requests; and overseeing IMC III rotations for Hearing Officer requests and monthly community outreach
Training, mentoring, and setting clear work standards for advanced level staff so that they can succeed
Welcoming new talent by interviewing applicants and helping choose the next great addition to the team
Supporting and developing your team by regularly checking in on performance, offering helpful and encouraging feedback, and guiding staff through performance reviews or corrective steps when needed
Monitoring team accountability by ensuring deliverables to other supervisors such as error trend reports, trainee evaluations, case reviews, and requested training material are submitted timely
Analyzing workflow and training practices and procedures to improve efficiency and outcomes
Providing oversight and consultation on quality improvement and error trends in order to assure compliance with federal, state, and local policy
Working closely and communicating effectively with other departmental supervisors to ensure consistent policy compliance and training across all units, promoting a culture of excellence
Qualification
Required
Three years of experience as a caseworker or investigator in an Economic Services program, preferably with one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Strong policy knowledge in at least one or more of the following programs: Family and Children's Medicaid, Adult Medicaid, or Food and Nutrition Services
Extensive knowledge of NC FAST and other state and internal case management systems
Ability to motivate and develop advanced-level staff
Enjoyment of setting goals, rolling out new initiatives, and analyzing data in a collaborative environment
An understanding of the challenges facing disadvantaged populations, and how quality control and training standards ensure the best possible outcomes for customers
Sharp problem-solving, reasoning, organizational skills, and attention to detail
The ability to lead with empathy, clarity, and accountability
Confidence in both written and verbal communication
Preferred
Specific knowledge preferred in the areas of Family and Children's Medicaid, Adult Medicaid, or Food and Nutrition Services
