Responsibilities
Design and implement high-performance data models using star and snowflake schemas
Create well-structured relationships, hierarchies, and calculated measures
Ensure models are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards
Build intuitive, interactive dashboards and reports that answer real business questions
Use DAX and Power Query (M) for advanced calculations and transformations
Implement row-level security (RLS) and support workspace governance
Work across Power BI service layers, gateways, and premium capacities
Integrate Power BI with Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, and enterprise data sources
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards
Monitor and improve report performance and dataset refresh strategies
Apply best practices for incremental refresh, query folding, and large datasets
Partner closely with data engineers, analysts, and business leaders
Provide guidance on Power BI adoption, workspace design, and governance frameworks
Serve as a trusted advisor for BI best practices and standards
Qualification
Required
Candidates without a Bachelor's degree must have 4+ years of relevant clinical or technical application experience in lieu of a degree
Advanced experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
Strong command of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling principles
Experience with Power BI architecture, including gateways, deployment pipelines, and capacity planning
Experience with ETL processes, SQL, and data warehousing concepts
Solid understanding of data governance, security, and best practices
Preferred
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
Ability to explain complex data concepts in clear, practical terms
A mindset focused on quality, performance, and long-term scalability
Comfort working in a collaborative, enterprise environment where your work directly impacts decision-making
