Responsibilities
Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement review
Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP
Prepare non-routine journal entries for acquisitions and special projects
Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting
Conduct variance analysis and provide management commentary
Generate and distribute KPIs and financial statements
Oversee payroll accounting
Act as primary contact for payroll system issues
Supervise and mentor a geographically distributed accounting team
Drive process improvement and automation, including ERP and treasury platform integrations
Lead onboarding and integration of newly affiliated practices
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and prepare for audits
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5-7 years of general accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, Index/Match)
Strong analytical, project management, leadership, and communication skills
Experience with ERP accounting software
Preferred
CPA and/or PMP certification
Healthcare industry experience
