The State of Arizona's Department of Economic Security is seeking an experienced Applications Architect to lead system development and maintenance. This role involves guiding a team of developers, ensuring project completion within timelines and quality standards, and making critical technical decisions.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and provide on-call support as needed

Provide architectural and application design directions to the development team and establish and implement development standards, including mentoring other developers

Architect and design new integrations. Work with a broad set of technologies such as Salesforce, MuleSoft, SmartComm, Informatica, Microsoft AZURE, SQL Server, Web Inspect, Checkmarx, Tableau, Integrations, Designing and Architecting solutions, Database Conversion

Lead enterprise architecture initiatives in the development and customization of software development based on needs

Required

Bachelor's degree plus 10 or more years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent experience)

Employee shall obtain and maintain a valid Level One fingerprint clearance card that meets DES requirements for a Level One card pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 41-1969

Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency's ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions

All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)

Hands-on experience with web development and SQL

Eight years of experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Azure, Integrations, SQL Server, Designing and Architecting solutions, and Database Conversion

Knowledge of REST APIs - Salesforce

Knowledge of SmartComm, Informatica, iRules, Mulesoft, Microsoft AZURE, Web Inspect, Checkmarx, Tableau

Knowledge of ADA Testing - Data modeling - SQL - AZURE DEVOPS

Skills in leading complex development activities

Exceptional design, coding, testing and debugging skills

Project management skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Agile / Scrum Development

Security and compliance

.NET and Salesforce Development
