Associate Analyst - Operations Maintenance Capital FP&A

Responsibilities
Perform detailed variance analysis of actual financial results versus plan, forecast, and key performance metrics for maintenance capital projects
Identify trends in variances and make recommendations for financial improvement and optimization to management
Work closely with accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting
Coordinate with field analysts, operations management, and project managers to accurately budget and forecast projects and expenses
Develop and maintain financial dashboards and key performance indicator (KPI) reports to provide real-time insights to senior management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
Develop and maintain long-range planning models to forecast future financial performance and support strategic decision-making
Appropriately categorize projects as Growth, Maintenance, or Expense in accordance with Energy Transfer’s corporate capitalization guidelines
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance management reporting for Joint Ventures
Conduct comprehensive financial modeling to support strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, and market expansion
Support the company-wide annual planning process and subsequent monthly forecasting process
Increase productivity and efficiency by developing automated reports and processes
Provide support for earnings releases, 10-K, 10-Q, and other external financial reporting
Contribute to overall Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team goals as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Associate Analyst - 0-2 years; Analyst - 2-5 years; Sr Analyst - 5-8 years of related work experience
Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Must be highly proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint
Highly organized with the ability to perform multiple tasks
Self-starter with ability to learn quickly
Proactively seek out continuous improvement opportunities
Take initiative in leading projects and driving results
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business preferred
IBM Cognos TM1, Power BI, Alteryx, SAP, Power Query, Pivot Tables experience preferred
