They are seeking a Director of Tumbling and Performing Arts to oversee youth programming, ensuring quality programming and community engagement while exemplifying YMCA values. Responsibilities

Ensures programs and services meet community needs including supervising existing program activities, establishing new program activities, and expanding the program within the community as needed. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information

Recruits and hires diverse staff and volunteer teams across multiple dimensions of diversity. Onboards and develops them for success

Models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations. Maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within the area of responsibility

Developing and monitoring the program budget to meet fiscal objectives; compiling program statistics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in programs; securing and scheduling the needed facilities; and creating and scheduling the classes, activities, or events

Ensures members' and community program participants' safety and well-being at all times, by meeting their education, developmental, protective, and nurturing needs

Implement our mission by knowing and understanding our mission statement, Cause Driven Y, Values, and Diversity, Inclusion, & Global Engagement [DIG] initiative

Respond, assist, and follow up with incidents, customer complaints, medical emergencies, and following proper documentation procedures

Resolve conflicts and disciplinary concerns with members and guests

A neat and clean personal appearance is kept at all times. Name tags and proper uniforms are worn during all shifts

Required

Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community

Within 3 months of hire, completion of CPR, First Aid, AED for infant, child, and adult, Bloodborne Pathogens, Illinois Harassment training, and other training as assigned

Valid Driver's License and Car Insurance
