Responsibilities
Delegate tasks to draftsperson
Construction administrative duties
Assisting Project Manager in preparing design development and construction packages
Project drawing documentation of elevations and details
City submittals
Coordinating with consultants as needed
Other duties assigned by the Project Manager or Principal Architect
Qualification
Required
Proficient in developing construction documents
Knowledge of ADA & building codes
Ability to adapt to the office culture
Ability to communicate clearly with the team
Ability to solve technical problems with limited supervision from the Project Manager & Principal Architect
Able to create construction packages with limited supervision
Demonstrate consistency in production
Reliable organizational behavior
Clear interpersonal communication skills
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, & 3D Rendering
Ability to work well in a team environment
Knowledge of California Building Codes, Code research knowhow
Knowledge of Title 24 Code Compliance, Code research knowhow
Ability to complete ADA Survey
Able to communicate effectively with consultants, clients, and jurisdictions
High level of organization and attention to detail
At least 5+ years of work experience
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Equivalent Work Experience
Multitasker – be able to work on and track multiple tasks / projects
Ability to organize & prepare documents from Design Packages to Construction Documents
Ability to fill in the gaps, think critically, see what else is affected by the task at hand
Ability to generate accurate building plans and sections for all construction types
Ability to detail conventional construction
Understand consultant scope of work responsibilities
Ability to address plan check corrections without PM involvement
Able to prepare Occupancy Load, Area, Exiting, LOD plans as well as Plumbing Calculations
