Responsibilities

Develop detailed designs for HVAC and plumbing systems, including load calculations, equipment selection, and layout plans
Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders
Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, etc
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing technical expertise and addressing concerns throughout the project lifecycle
Work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into overall project designs
Conduct site visits and inspections to verify the proper installation and functioning of mechanical systems

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license and the ability to obtain licensure within multiple states
Minimum of 6 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing systems design
In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering principles, building codes, and environmental regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to clients and team members
Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
Ability to travel as required
All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations

Preferred

AutoCAD + REVIT experience
Building energy modeling experience
Experience working on municipal water and wastewater treatment projects, including pump stations, filtration systems, and treatment facilities
