Responsibilities

Experience collaborating with teams of engineers, system administrators, network engineers, product subject matter experts, and subcontractors to coordinate all phases of development and integration
Best practices for engineering development and configuration management
Provide comprehensive end-to-end computing support in closed environments, from desktops to servers
Upgrading, installing, and configuring application software and computer hardware
Creating and managing system permissions and user accounts
Performing regular security tests and security monitoring
Maintaining networks and network file systems
Coordinating security relevant changes of both hardware and software components, and network with the ISSO for compliance
Working effectively, and semi-autonomously, in a rapid pace team environment
Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) servers/workstations
Managing local servers and virtual machines (Azure, VMWare)
Implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide(s) (STIGS)

Required

This position requires an active Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment
CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8570 / DoD 8140 compliant)
CompTIA Linux+
Strong problem-solving skills
Mid-career computing knowledge level of the following: Networking (Cisco), Linux, Windows
Good verbal and written communication skills, must be able to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment

Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Experience and understanding of Cyber Security Requirements
Experience utilizing network management software (SolarWinds)
Experience with Palo-Alto firewalls
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification
Experience with TrueNAS
Experience with Ansible
Experience with MFA
Experience with scripts for automation
