Staff Accountant

P1 Dental Partners is seeking a Staff Accountant responsible for maintaining the general ledger and assisting in the preparation of corporate financial statements. The role includes reconciling accounts, managing transactions, and optimizing financial reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly and quarterly general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Perform daily, weekly and monthly cash reconciliations for bank accounts
Compile revenue and accounts receivable information for practice locations adhering to GAAP
Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records ensuring they reconcile with the General Ledger and Capital Expenditure reports
Maintain debt schedules, prepare amortization reports, forecast future outflows relating to debt
Analyze general ledger accounts and explain large variances
Administrator the corporate credit and Amazon programs, ensuring compliance with company policies
Compile historical information for acquired companies and enter data into NetSuite
Prepare and post journal entries as requested by manager
Complete monthly sales/use tax returns for several states and localities
Complete annual personal property tax returns for several states and localities
Serve as back-up for Accounts Payable Specialist position

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related work experience
5+ years related work experience
Multi-entity, multi-state healthcare experience required
Integral team player and self-starter identifying areas for continuous improvement to propel the department and company forward
Commitment to professional development as demonstrated by ability to adapt to change, manage stress load and work in a collaboratively
Efficient and quick processing of workload through strong multitasking and prioritization skills, displaying effective time management and seeking assistance when needed
Conduct business according to the highest ethical standards as demonstrated by confidentiality, personal ethics and high integrity
Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and impact others through meaningful and persuasive delivery
Continuous quality improvement as exhibited by strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail and minimal errors
Vision and innovation as displayed by an ability to think critically and creatively
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to create, manipulate and maintain spreadsheets with little to no supervision

Preferred

NetSuite experience a plus
cloud-based accounting software experience required
