Senior Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities
Lead weekly payroll processing with precision and accuracy
Verify classifications, calculate wages, and ensure Prevailing Wage compliance
Prepare and submit Certified Payroll Reports
Harness advanced Excel tools for reporting, reconciliation, and analysis
Maintain organized payroll records and support audits with detailed reporting
Manage payroll components including 401(k), vacation pay, and fringe benefits
Align wages, benefits, and classifications with contractual and regulatory requirements
Partner with HR on onboarding/offboarding payroll tasks
Contribute to diversity tracking and Apprenticeship Program compliance
Provide administrative support to Payroll and HR leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or a related field
3+ years in full cycle payroll
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, or Workday
Preferred
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Designation is highly preferred
Experience handling multi-state payroll is a plus
