AR Manager
CFS is a well-established construction company seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead their AR function. This role involves managing the full AR lifecycle, overseeing billing processes, collections, and team development while ensuring compliance with construction contracts and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities
Oversee construction billing processes, including progress billing, AIA billings, and change orders
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing in accordance with contract terms
Review and approve billing packages prior to submission
Manage cash application, including lockbox and customer payments
Reconcile AR subledger to the general ledger
Lead collection efforts and monitor aging reports
Partner with project managers to resolve billing disputes and payment delays
Maintain strong relationships with customers and subcontractors
Improve DSO and support company cash flow objectives
Oversee lien waivers, notices, and compliance requirements
Ensure adherence to construction contract and statutory requirements
Support audits and documentation requests related to AR
Manage, mentor, and develop AR staff
Establish and improve AR policies, procedures, and internal controls
Identify process efficiencies and system enhancements
Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, finance, and operations teams
Qualification
Required
5+ years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in construction
Prior experience managing or leading an AR team
Strong understanding of construction billing, collections, and lien processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience with construction or ERP systems (Vista, Sage, Procore, or similar)
