Responsibilities

Draft, review and negotiate numerous standard and complex corporate and commercial agreements, including services agreements, insurance agreements, benefits administration agreements, business associate agreements, confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, and vendor agreements

Provide legal advice on new and evolving business initiatives to other members of the legal team and directly to the business

Rapidly assess potential legal risks, benefits and consequences of decisions, present alternatives and propose solutions to achieve business objectives while skillfully managing legal and practical business considerations

Provide daily contract support and lead coordination and partnership with cross functional teams (sales, client management, IT, strategy, marketing, HR, finance, etc.) to achieve business objectives

Required

JD from an accredited institution; admitted and in good standing to practice law in at least one state

Five to ten years of relevant experience; prior in-house experience a plus but not required

Excellent judgment and integrity with the ability to think strategically and give timely, effective, and practical general corporate and commercial legal advice

Ability to work and communicate with colleagues and business clients in a professional, ethical, and positive manner as a team player

Strong attention to detail, along with excellent analytic, legal drafting and oral and written communication skills
