Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with labor laws and tax regulations
Manage payroll audits and partner with HR, Finance, and Legal to implement compensation and benefits changes
Lead payroll tax compliance, filings, and serve as the primary contact for tax agencies
Mentor and develop a team of payroll professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Drive payroll system upgrades, automation, and process enhancements for maximum efficiency
Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize payroll and tax reporting capabilities
Will process for over 20k employees
Manage a team of 6-7 employees

Qualification

CPP certificationMulti-state payroll processingPayroll tax compliancePayroll software ADPPayroll software PaychexPayroll software UKGLeadership experienceProblem-solving skillsCommunication skills

Required

CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification required
10+ years of payroll experience, with at least 5 years in a strong leadership capacity
Deep expertise in multi-state payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, and payroll software (ADP, Paychex, UKG)
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
