Responsibilities

Design, configure, and manage firewall infrastructure to support highly available, scalable network environments

Oversee end-to-end lifecycle management of network hardware and software, including procurement, deployment, patching, and retirement

Ensure financial efficiency through optimal "right sizing" of infrastructure components

Automate network provisioning and configuration using scripting tools such as Python and Ansible

Implement proactive monitoring solutions to track network performance, security incidents, and system health

Design and implement reporting and analytics measuring performance against OKRs, KPIs, and associated SLAs/OLAs

Lead network security efforts by continuously assessing vulnerabilities and implementing remediation

Assist Audit/Compliance Engineering partners with vulnerability risk assessments and remediation plans

Participate in Live-Site Engineering reviews of design plans, planned changes, and maintenance plans

Evaluate new network components and technologies for potential adoption into Live Site environments

Develop implementation strategies for integrating new components with minimal operational disruption

Lead continuous improvement and engineering discipline maturity through Root Cause Analysis and Problem Avoidance

Architect system demands and requirements into technical solutions

Provide escalation support for network incidents and participate in on-call rotation

Assess and review new network component candidates for standards adoption and Live Site implementation

Required

Strong network fundamentals knowledge

Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, and cloud firewall products

Ability to automate network provisioning and configuration using scripting tools such as Python and Ansible

Experience in designing, configuring, and managing firewall infrastructure to support highly available, scalable network environments

Ability to oversee end-to-end lifecycle management of network hardware and software, including procurement, deployment, patching, and retirement

Experience in implementing proactive monitoring solutions to track network performance, security incidents, and system health

Experience in leading network security efforts by continuously assessing vulnerabilities and implementing remediation

Ability to assist Audit/Compliance Engineering partners with vulnerability risk assessments and remediation plans

Experience in evaluating new network components and technologies for potential adoption into Live Site environments

Ability to develop implementation strategies for integrating new components with minimal operational disruption

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
