Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking an accomplished physician leader for the Chief of the Gastrointestinal (GI) Center. The role involves overseeing clinical operations, developing clinical pathways, and enhancing the Division’s research portfolio while fostering collaboration between clinical and laboratory research efforts.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive leadership for the GU Medical Oncology program, overseeing clinical operations across both inpatient and outpatient settings

Recruit and supervise attending physicians

Develop clinical pathways

Work in close collaboration with GU Surgery and other interdisciplinary partners to ensure the highest quality patient care

Define and advance the clinical and scientific vision for the Division, with a strong emphasis on clinical research

Drive accrual to clinical trials, expand the Division’s research portfolio, and increase the overall visibility and market presence of GU oncology programs

Participate in the training and mentorship of fellows, residents, advanced practice providers, and faculty

Contribute to departmental and Roswell Park–wide committees

Foster productive collaboration between clinical and laboratory research efforts

Required

License to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York or License to practice as a dentist in the State of New York as required for the area of expertise

Possession of a valid medical specialty certificate in area of expertise

Medical Doctor degree or Doctor of Dental Science degree as required for the area of expertise, and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in the area of expertise including six (6) months in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity

Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices
