Responsibilities
Maintain lease accounting schedules related to right of use – ASC842
Prepare monthly accruals – R&M, utilities, workers comp & misc. income
Responsible for prepaids – amortization (IT contracts, property tax, insurance + rent)
Maintain rent schedule – provide to AP
Prepare and record month-end allocations
Responsible for financial reporting package & flux analysis
Provide operational reporting to departments
Reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business with concentration in accounting
At least 5-7 years of accounting experience
Experience in performing full-cycle accounting close
Strong technical skills in applying US GAAP rules
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience with Financial Reporting
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated numerical aptitude
Ability to cross train staff accountant as needed
Preferred
Exposure to the following industries: grocery retail, warehousing and distribution
