Civil Project Manager - Public Works
KCI Technologies, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned engineering, consulting and construction firm serving clients throughout the United States. They are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead and manage the planning, design, and implementation of public works, utility, and water/wastewater infrastructure projects in San Antonio.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through construction
Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements
Develop engineering reports, design plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates
Conduct feasibility studies, hydraulic modeling, and system evaluations
Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, stakeholders, and public agencies
Ensure quality control/quality assurance (QA/QC) procedures are followed
Monitor project performance, track progress, and prepare status reports
Support business development efforts including proposal preparation and client relationship management
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience supporting projects with local utilities and agencies
Lead and manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through construction
Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements
Develop engineering reports, design plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates
Conduct feasibility studies, hydraulic modeling, and system evaluations
Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, stakeholders, and public agencies
Ensure quality control/quality assurance (QA/QC) procedures are followed

Support business development efforts including proposal preparation and client relationship management
Bachelor's Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 4 years of related professional experience, or 8 years of equivalent professional experience
Participation in continuing education and professional development programs
Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery
Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate project teams
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders
Deep technical knowledge in the specific field of the project
Expertise in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols
Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment
Strong negotiation skills to manage multiple contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively
Strong comprehension of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation
Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with passing the PM Board within 6 months of start date
Preferred
10+ years of experience supporting and leading utility, public works, and other civil projects
Active Texas PE registration
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Master's Degree in related field (AEC Industry)
