Responsibilities
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergencies when needed
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with attention to the unique needs of an aerospace and defense location
Observe and report any suspicious, unusual, or prohibited activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to employees and visitors
Operate and monitor access control systems, checking credentials and verifying identity as required for the location
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, following established escalation procedures
Complete detailed and accurate written reports of incidents, activities, and observations during each shift
Adhere to all armed post protocols, maintaining control of assigned equipment and following all applicable regulations and guidelines
Qualification
Required
Possess an Armed Guard Card or License
Possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Handcuffing Certification is preferred
