Research, Ideate and Design monthly collections
Recognize and accurately forecast fashion and cultural trends and understand how they relate to the Free People customer
Develop and present creative ideas and respond to business objectives with creative, innovative, and cost-effective design solutions
Effectively use Procreate and PhotoShop for the CADing of design work and presentations
Excellent communication skills to communicate ideas and inspirations to others and to interact with Designers, Buyers and other Cross Functional partners
Ability to drape, mock/sew and sketch
Qualification
Required
Research, Ideate and Design monthly collections
Recognize and accurately forecast fashion and cultural trends and understand how they relate to the Free People customer
Develop and present creative ideas and respond to business objectives with creative, innovative, and cost-effective design solutions
Effectively use Procreate and PhotoShop for the CADing of design work and presentations
Excellent communication skills to communicate ideas and inspirations to others and to interact with Designers, Buyers and other Cross Functional partners
Ability to drape, mock/sew and sketch
Ability to articulate ideas clearly and inspire
Previous experience or knowledge of apparel construction
Knowledge of fabric treatments as well as wash and dye techniques
Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes
Ability to hand sketch and communicate design ideas via Procreate and PhotoShop
Ability to be on-site 3-5 days per week in Philadelphia, PA
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design and 5+ Years Industry experience preferred
Experience in Ai Design programs welcomed but not required
Strong understanding of the Free People customer and ability to articulate the brand's DNA and aesthetic within the Free-est brand
