Responsibilities
Customer Service
Assist with the front desk
Perform various office clerical duties including filing, typing, scanning, maintaining copiers and other equipment, ordering supplies, sorting/distributing mail, etc
Provide subject matter support to learners as well as general study skills
Serve as a mentor and role model for learners
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
Refer learners to appropriate resources and support services as needed
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and participation
Lead small group study sessions and tutoring sessions
Provide one-on-one assistance to learners struggling with course concepts or small group assistance as needed in the Learning Commons
Answer student questions and clarify course content
Assist with program activities and events
Schedule room resources as needed
Perform other related work duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Earned a B+ or better in the course, providing study support for
Minimum 3.0 GPA or a faculty member's recommendation
Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
Regular and consistent attendance at work
Exhibit a high degree of integrity and confidentiality
Attention to detail and strong time management and organizational skills
Willing to learn and adapt to new policies, programs, and technological innovations
Be able and willing to represent the college positively with prospective, former, and current learners, clients, and the community we serve

Preferred
Experience as a tutor, academic coach, or learning assistant
