President & CEO
Confidential Engineering Company is a nationally recognized engineering consulting firm seeking a visionary President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the firm in its next era of growth and innovation. The CEO will provide strategic leadership, oversee operations, and ensure business goals are met while fostering a culture of empowerment and excellence.
Responsibilities
Directs all business operations and corporate affairs
Provide visionary leadership to develop and execute strategic business plans rooted in the firm’s mission and vision, ensuring organizational alignment and delivering measurable outcomes across all functions
Lead meetings of shareholders and the Board of Directors, promoting governance, best practices, and strategic alignment
Collaborate with and provide regular updates, including but not limited to performance reports, key initiatives, and recommended policy changes, to the Board of Directors
Oversee the firm's legal and risk management strategies to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization
Monitor organizational performance against established goals and objectives, initiating corrective actions when necessary
Ensure the financial health and integrity of the organization. Manage fiduciary responsibilities 401(k), audits, and valuations
Exercise broad authority to allocate resources, approve expenditures, and negotiate contracts in support of strategic goals
Make high-impact decisions that advance the firm’s objectives while maintaining fiscal discipline and transparency
Represent the firm in all interactions with the Board, staff, clients, public, and professional community
Build and maintain strong relationships across stakeholder groups, balancing interests, and promoting mutual respect
Uphold professionalism and fairness, championing company values internally and externally
Perform all duties inherent to the CEO/President role and any additional duties assigned by the Board
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, geospatial, planning, business administration, finance, or a related field required
Proven experience in a senior leadership role
Proven track record of managing teams, driving business growth, and making strategic decisions
Strong understanding of corporate governance, fiduciary responsibilities, and risk management
Excellent strategic planning, decision-making, and communication skills
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
Preferred
MBA preferred
Engineering, geospatial, planning, or associated professional services experience preferred
