The University of Virginia's Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences is seeking an outstanding psychiatrist for the role of Assistant Residency Program Director. This position involves advancing curriculum and resident professional development, providing high-quality clinical care, and engaging in scholarly activities.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Program Director, Associate Program Directors, and GME partners on program operations, accreditation readiness, and continuous quality improvement

Support resident recruitment and selection, including application review, interview day execution, and rank list preparation

Coach residents in clinical competency, scholarly development, professionalism, and career planning; contribute to CCC/PEC activities and documentation

Provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment in assigned clinical settings (inpatient, C-L, ED/urgent care, addiction services, and/or ambulatory clinics)

Partner with interprofessional teams to deliver integrated, measurement-based, recovery-oriented care; contribute to access and throughput initiatives

Advance educational initiatives

Engage in scholarly activity in medical education and/or clinical domains

Serve on departmental and institutional committees as assigned
