Responsibilities

Provide subject matter support to learners as well as general study skills
Serve as a mentor and role model for learners
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
Refer learners to appropriate resources and support services as needed
Maintain accurate records of learner attendance and participation
Provide one-on-one assistance to learners struggling with course concepts
Answer learner questions and clarify course content

Qualification

Microsoft Office proficiencyTutoring experienceAcademic coachingCommunicationAttention to detailTime managementOrganizational skillsAdaptability

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Earned a B+ or better in the course, providing study support for
Minimum 3.0 GPA or a faculty member's recommendation
Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
Regular and consistent attendance at work
Exhibit a high degree of integrity and confidentiality
Attention to detail and strong time management and organizational skills
Willing to learn and adapt to new policies, programs, and technological innovations
Be able and willing to represent the college positively with prospective, former, and current learners, clients, and the community we serve
Welcome, value, and nurture people of all backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, and support and promote an environment that accepts differences

Preferred

Experience as a tutor, academic coach, or learning assistant
