The University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine is inviting applications for a Clinical Associate position in the Primary Care Service. This role involves clinical patient care and the education of veterinary students, focusing on surgical skills training and contributing to the teaching mission of the School.

Responsibilities

Focus on clinical patient care and education of veterinary students in the area of primary care surgical skills training
Provide and organize surgical instruction including spay, neuter, and minor procedures
Contribute to the service and teaching mission of the School
Work directly with the Penn Vet Shelter Medicine Program, Soft Tissue Surgery Service, and Anesthesia Service
Help build a vibrant, front-facing PC program that attracts strong veterinary students

Required

DVM or equivalent
Training and experience in high-quality, high-volume spay-neuter techniques and settings are necessary for the position
Strong clinical and surgical skills in primary care medicine, surgery, and dentistry
Excellent communication and team-building skills

Preferred

Experience in training settings and community-based veterinary programs in private or academic practices
