They are seeking a skilled medical physicist to join the physics group of an expanding department of Radiation Oncology, where the candidate will be involved in various radiation therapy physics activities and support a team of physicians.

Responsibilities

Join a team of 6 staff physicists, 3 faculty physicists along with 7 dosimetrists in support of a practice of 10 physicians

Actively involved with the Gamma Knife Icon unit situated within the Radiation Oncology clinical department

Participate in other standard radiation therapy physics activities: machine calibrations, equipment QA, treatment planning activities, dosimetry measurements, calculations, brachytherapy, radiation safety and some teaching

Qualification

Medical PhysicsRadiation OncologyGamma KnifeABR CertificationNew York State LicenseEclipseBrainlabSoft Skills

Required

M.S. or Ph.D. in physics, medical physics or related field

New York State Licensed medical physicist or New York State License eligible

ABR certified

Preferred

Three years of experience in Radiation Oncology Physics

Experience with Gamma Knife

Experience with Varian TrueBeam, Eclipse, Brainlab and IGRT
