Responsibilities
Using spreadsheets and / or allocations software, prepare allocations of plant liquids production and residue back to the well head and at the tailgate of a plant
Using spreadsheets and / or allocations software, prepare sales invoices, purchase settlement statements and record entries into the general ledger for the purchase and sale of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons
Prepares and invoices producers and shippers for various gathering, processing and treating fees; recording entries for such in the general ledger
Answers producer questions, provides meter statements and settlement statements
Prepares monthly and periodic tax reports for filing and payment with various state and federal agencies
Analyzes and explains monthly and seasonal fluctuations in volume and amounts as compared to prior months and budget
Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external financial statements and reporting packages
Follows up on payments and invoices to assure accurate and timely collection
Prepare, post and process prior period adjustments for payment and / or invoicing
Reconcile volumes and values from spreadsheets and allocations software to the general ledger
Balance the plant monthly to assure all quantities and related values are properly captured and accounted for
Coordinate with plant personnel to understand (and explain, if necessary) plant operations and output
Coordinate with commercial sales and gas purchase personnel to understand and use product pricing and contract terms
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or General Business
3-5 years of experience
Preferred
TIPS software experience is a plus
