PROJECT MANAGER I - LIHUE, KAUAI

Responsibilities

Perform professional work in planning, organizing, managing, implementing and evaluating projects according to project management principles and methods
Define project goals to determine required project outcomes
Analyze and create detailed project plans that identify deliverables, timelines, costs, resources and potential risk
Regularly communicate with project staff, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders on project activities
Monitor project progress to ensure milestones are met on time
Develop and implement mechanisms to evaluate project successes and areas in need of improvement on an on-going basis
Recommend and facilitate changes to project processes to ensure desired outcomes and deliverables

Required

Legal Authorization To Work: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States
Basic Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
Specialized Experience: Three and one-half (3-1/2) years of progressively responsible professional experience planning, directing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating projects. Such experience must include determining project goals, scope, deliverables, timelines, costs, and resources; leading project teams; administering budgets and contracts; tracking project progress to ensure that milestones are met on time and within budget; documenting project progress; and identifying metrics for project evaluation
Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment
