Desktop Support Specialist
James Search Group is partnering with a leading Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance carrier known for its innovative insurance solutions. They are seeking a motivated Desktop Support Analyst to provide technical support for end-users, troubleshoot desktop issues, and assist with IT projects, offering a great opportunity for career growth in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Provide first-level technical support for desktop hardware, software, and network issues to end-users within the company
Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to operating systems, applications, printers, and other technology tools
Install, configure, and upgrade desktop systems, software, and applications in a timely manner
Assist in the setup and maintenance of hardware (desktops, laptops, monitors, etc.) for employees
Respond to service desk tickets, prioritize issues, and escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff
Document technical procedures, FAQs, and user guides to improve support efficiency
Assist with system imaging, deployment, and other IT projects as needed
Qualification
Required
0-3 years of experience in desktop support, IT support, or a similar role
Familiarity with Windows and Mac OS, office applications (Microsoft Office), and basic networking concepts
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to solve a variety of technical issues
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively with non-technical end-users
Preferred
A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus, but not required
CompTIA A+, ITIL, or similar certifications are a plus but not required
