Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance application code using C++ and C# to support ongoing integration, maintenance, and enhancement needs across multiple transit system initiatives
Perform code analysis, debugging, and resolution of software defects reported from field operations or testing environments
Participate in peer code reviews, design reviews, and software quality assurance processes to maintain high development standards
Develop unit tests and integration tests to validate software functionality and reliability
Create and maintain technical documentation including system designs, integration interfaces, and change management records

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
3-5 years of professional experience developing software in C++ and C# within enterprise or embedded systems environments
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture principles
Familiarity with multi-threaded programming, event-driven architectures, and system resource management
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across both application and integration layers

Preferred

Familiarity with MQTT messaging protocols for inter-process communication is a plus
