Responsibilities
Contribute to project work that includes continuous improvement, retrofit, and capital investments to develop new technologies and optimize development and clinical manufacturing operations
Work as an integral part of the Automation team to design, architect, troubleshoot, and deliver future enhancements for automation related systems
Provide technical support and maintenance of the automation systems for multiple R&D facilities within the Framingham campus and Waltham locations
Provide technical solutions to a wide range of process automation related design challenges
Create data architectures to capture time-series data and create dashboards for easy data analysis, visualization, and remote operation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences or related discipline
2 to 5 years of Automation experience
Experience with multiple controls systems - Rockwell, DeltaV, Ignition
Knowledge of data historians including OSI PI
Knowledge of bus technologies and Instrumentation
Knowledge of virtual infrastructures, including patching
Strong computer and IT/OT knowledge including equipment networking and connectivity expertise
Proficiency with communication protocols such as OPC/OPC-UA
Understanding of equipment connectivity, from connecting the instrument into the control network, all the way through to the digital dashboard display
Solid general engineering fundamentals
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and be accountable
An innate curiosity to drive continuous learning and innovation
